From Beginner to Advanced Thinker! Coach Bryce Tuton (USCF:1756) Saturdays 3:30-5:30pm Mar-May
Our Super Team groups meet once a week for eight weeks. The purpose of these programs is to give your student additional opportunities to study, learn and practice playing chess in a fun and exciting environment!
Coach Bryce's Superhero Team will transform your student from Peter Parker to Spider-Man in just 8 short weeks!
The goal of this Super Team group is to take beginners beyond the basics, helping them understand chess on a deeper level by recognizing key patterns, mastering strategic openings, and sharpening their endgame skills—all while having fun in a supportive team environment!
Topics include:
- Mastering the Ponziani Opening – A sneaky and aggressive way to start the game!
- Recognizing Advanced Chess Patterns – Learn common tactical and strategic ideas to outsmart opponents.
- Endgame Strategies – How to turn a small advantage into a big win!
- Notation Practice
- Chessable Courses for Extra Practice – Optional online lessons to reinforce learning at home.
- Additional forms of chess such as Blitz, Bughouse, and other fun Chess Variants!
Lesson Structure:
- 30-45 min – Interactive Lesson (Learn new concepts through fun and engaging activities)
- 30 min – Rapid Game (15 mins each) (Practice skills in a real game)
- 30 min – Game Analysis (Review games to understand what went right and wrong)
- Remaining Time – Tactics Training (Solve puzzles and sharpen instincts!)
